In addition, the app allows you to generate ePub files.Īll in all, Pixave is a powerful tool that comes equipped with a comprehensive array of features. Images can be exported to a broad range of formats, and you can even save multiple copies in one operation. Pixave also offers some basic image editing functions, enabling you to apply various filters, insert shapes, text and drawings. Moreover, it is possible to capture an entire web page, and all these actions can be performed with customizable hotkeys. Remember not to show any personal information. You can use Pixave to take screenshots of specific windows or certain areas of your desktop. For Mac/Windows, crop image to application window only (not entire desktop). Capture content, edit images and export them to various formats The app offers an innovative method for finding images: if you can remember their overall color patterns, you can choose a specific hue and have Pixave display all pictures that match your selection. Moreover, Pixave enables you to set up ‘Smart’ collections that only contain items matching certain preset criteria. You can create any number of groups, each with its own label, and import images with simple drag and drop actions. ![]() Organize your images into collections, assign tags and find pictures based on their color patterns The small window remains on top of all other applications and allows you to import items by simply dragging them onto a specific collection. Should you wish to add images to your collections without having the app take up too much screen space, you can enable Pixave Mini. It is not flashy by any means, and all the necessary buttons and menus can be accessed with very little effort. Pixave is very user-friendly, as its layout is intuitive and simple to understand. Some software is stronger on windows or mac, and some apps are. Well-designed interface that is easy to work with and pleasing to the eye I have tried Pixave, Evernote, notion, traditional folders, ember, and more and I find. It pains me to give Pixave a one-star review, because for a long time, it was the solution to my image management problems.Pixave is a feature-packed image manager that aims to provide you with all the tools you need to view and organize pictures, search for items, capture screen content and export files to various formats. But, seeing that the Mac app is still being updated and still advertises iPad sync as a feature, I have to warn potential buyers that syncing is broken, and that, as far as I can tell, the developer is not supporting the app (and has not been providing support since sometime before the last update). ICloud sync between the Mac and iPad used to work well (for me-others reported issues with data loss). Now, the iPad app only sees new libraries created within the app. Those libraries sync to the Mac just fine, but the iPad can no longer see libraries created on the Mac, or even older libraries created on the iPad. Sync is the main draw for Pixave for me, and sync isn't working. I have contacted the developer several times about this (using the contact option within the app), and have never received a response. The last update to the Mac app (version 2.3.13) happened after I contacted them. So, they are still updating the app, but not supporting customers who have problems with it. (The iPad app, on the other hand, hasn't been updated in a couple of years.) Other customers have also reported that the developer is unresponsive, so I think you should consider Pixave unsupported. Given that it's advertising features (iCloud sync with iPad) that don't actually work, and the developer won't respond to support requests, I can't recommend spending money on Pixave. I'd love to see sync get fixed and be able to use the app again. I haven't found anything that lives up to Pixave when it was working. ![]() So, while I'm holding out hope for the app's future (and will update my review if it starts working again!), for now, you should avoid it. Too clunky, and other than some "tagging" features, which also can be done in Finder, there really is no benefit to this app. This app just creates duplicate storage on my iCloud drive when the original files are in an organized folder system, and then the additional database full of the same images. ![]() I would be concerned if support for the app stopped and then you may not have access to the files you stored in Pixave. There are some strong positives with this app, but the UI is not very intuitive. ![]()
